Galo Shopping Centre hosts wedding expo
26 Mar 2013
"The wedding concept and definition will change with time, but the value of the wedding will remain unchanged."
These words were said by the marketing officer for Galo Shopping Centre in Francistown, Marc Themba during a Wedding Expo 2013 held at Galo on Saturday.
Themba said weddings had always been part of human lifestyle and existence for centuries. “Although weddings exist by all kind of ways because of the progressive industrial and commercial society, the entity of marriage still exists,” said Mr Themba.
The wedding expo attracted nine exhibitors from Selebi Phikwe and Gaborone, a clear sign that the event gives other companies from outside Francistown an opportunity to showcase their products, he added.
It unveiled an array of spectacular and glamorous décor in the industry as shown by the exhibited wedding couture, jewellery, cosmetics, and florists.
One of the exhibitors, Lemogang Molalapata said the expo provided him an opportunity to sell his services.
A customer, Mr Kabo William of Mandunyane said he had a chance to explore the creativity by the exhibitors. He applauded their efforts of bringing their services closer to the people. “I hope the event will grow in years to come and even involve more exhibitors”, he said. ENDS
