Budget constraints halt hospital construction in Francistown

The construction of a district hospital in Francistown is in the National Development Plan (NDP) 10.
Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele said due to budget constraints, the ministry was not able to accommodate the hospital in the current 2014/15 as well as the next 2015/16 financial years.
Dr Madigele said the ministry recognised the need for a district hospital in Francistown and that funds permitting, it would be reconsidered together with other priorities during NDP 11.
Francistown South MP, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister when the Francistown district hospital would be built. END
