Jwaneng Galaxy on verge of promotion
26 Mar 2015
Debswana First Division South league continues on Saturday, March 28, with mouth-watering encounters expected.
Fireworks are expected in Molepolole where Jwaneng Galaxy who are at the top of the log meet the struggling Black Peril. With only two games remaining, Jwaneng Galaxy, need only a win or a draw to be crowned the champions and ultimately get a promotion to the elite league.
They have 41 points and on position two is Uniao Flamengo Santos with 35, followed by Mogoditshane Fighters with 35 points. If both teams were to win their remaining games, they will end up with 41 points; therefore it is imperative for Galaxy to win their Saturday game at all costs.
Jwaneng Galaxy are not new in the elite league, they know the benefits of playing in the league, therefore it remains to be seen if they can finish their race in advance. They have so far played 20 games, won 12, lost three and drawn five.
On one hand, relegation -bound Black Peril would not want to hand Galaxy the championship on a silver platter, therefore chances are that they are going to give their opponents a hard time on the day.
Black Peril are on position 11. Out of the 20 games played, they have managed to win only four, lost 10, drew six leaving them with 18 points. Still on Saturday, Killer Giants will battle it out with Rolling Boys at Siga Grounds in Ramotswa.
Sharps Electrical will play against Modipane United at Sharps Ground, and both teams won their last games last week end. Sharp Electrical beat Rolling Boys 2-0 in a game that was played at Special Support Group ground on Sunday, while Modipane United forced a 1-0 results against Mogoditshane Fighters.
Ghanzi Terrors who have managed to accumulate only one point, will travel to Mmankgodi where they will have a date with Black Forest. Terrors have found it difficult to survive the First division league, as out of the 20 games, they are yet to register a single win.
Mogoditshane Fighters will have a date with Lesirane at Fighters ground, Prisons X1 and Uniao Flamengo Santos will take their battle to Special Support Group ground. All the games will kick off at 4pm. ENDS
