Parliament has been told that the recruitment process within the public service allows for advertising positions or head hunting.

Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Eric Molale said in this particular instance, the position of coordinator, Poverty Eradication was filled through head hunting.

As for the position of manager, National Strategy Office, it was filled through transfer of a serving officer within Office of the President, he added.

He said recruitment was on-going to fill remaining two positions of manager, National Strategy Office.

MP for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister where and when the posts of Coordinator- Poverty Eradication and that of Manager for National Strategy Office were advertised.

Mr Mmolotsi also asked the minister how many people applied for those positions and whether interviews were conducted, if so, when. ENDS
