Burundi Norway envoys present credentials

Ambassador of Burundi, Mr Isaie Ntirizoshira and Ms Trine Skymoen of Norway presented their letters of credence to President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama in Gaborone on March 17
Ambassador Ntirizoshira said, as the first appointee to Botswana, he was looking forward to exploring relations with the host country in many sectors. He said after 15 years of war, his country was at peace and working towards building relations with other countries.
For her part, Ms Skymoen commended Botswana for being a strong voice on human rights issues, respect for the rule of law and democracy. She said Norway and Botswana had 50 years of solid bilateral relations and that the two countries cooperated a lot on international issues. ends
