17 Mar 2015
Domboshaba National Monument was restored in 2005 and the restoration entailed the walls and daga floors (bodilo), Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Mr Tshekedi Khama has told Parliament.
He said Domboshaba stone walls in their present state had been reconstructed to resemble their natural state and the site would be presented as it was to tourists accompanied by interpretive guiding by site custodians.
Mr Khama, however said it was important to note that monitoring of the status of the walls was an ongoing process.
Tati West MP, Mr Biggie Butale had asked him to state whether he will consider restoring the Domboshaba ruins to their former glory in order to attract more tourists, and when can the restoration and any upgrade be expected to take place. ENDS
