Skepcon has donated 12 full school uniforms to students at Kgafela Primary School in Mochudi.
The owner of the company Mr Motsomi Madisa said being one of the first students who graduated from the school in 1978 in his Primary School Leaving Examinations, he found it fit to donate to the school.
Skepcon supplies, installs and provides maintenance of telecommunications equipment. “I want to appreciate what this school has done for me by giving back to the students who are also in this school to encourage them to work hard in their studies,” he said.
Mr Madisa said he was also aware of the difficulties of having no proper school uniform, saying it could lead to poor students’ performance. “My intention is to close that gap so that all the students should look the same. I will continue to assist the school as I have built a strong foundation of my life in this school, everything I have it’s because of this school” he said.
He also encouraged parents to work hand in hand with teachers to monitor the children’s work to achieve good results at the end of the year. Mr Madisa also called upon former students of Kgafela Primary School to come forward and assist the school adding that t government alone cannot manage.
For his part, the principal education officer II for Kgatleng Region, Mr Sebaela Ngwako applauded Skepco Company for the donation, saying the company had shown compassion.
“We are a blessed country and it is good to see fellow citizens coming forward to assist others to augment government’s assistance. I therefore encourage you to continue helping others and God will indeed bless your Company,” said Mr Ngwako. He urged the students to work hard and take care of their new uniforms and also urged parents to wash and iron their children’s uniforms so that they look presentable. ENDS
