No coal mine in Takatokwane

Minister of Infrastructure Science and Technology, Nonofo Molefhi has said there was no coal mine in Takatokwane.
Answering a question in Parliament, of behalf of Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resource, he said the Takatokwane coal deposit was still being prospected by Triprop Ltd PLs (157 AND 160/2009) and the Wizard Investment PL (035/2007).
He said the viability of opening a mine in Takatokwane would be informed by Feasibility Studies proposed in the current work programmes for the two prospecting companies.
Takatokwane MP, Mr Ngaka Ngaka had asked the minister to update the Parliament on the Takatokwane coal mine. ENDS
