No radius prescription for married couples

The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Phillip Makgalemele, says the public service transfer guidelines do not prescribe the distance or radius married couples should live or work in.
Responding to a parliamentary question, Mr Makgalemele said due to the diverse nature of the public service, placement and appointment of officers largely depended on the availability of posts and exigency of service.
Selebi Phikwe West MP, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had asked the minister to update Parliament on the implementation of the government transfer policy regarding distance married couples should live and or work. ENDS
