Low attendance caused stoppage of 24 hour clnic
23 Feb 2015
Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele, told Parliament that Sua Clinic used to open 24 hours but was stopped in 2011 because of low client attendance at night.
Dr Madigele said the clinic used to see two patients on average after hours, adding the ministry had a meeting with Sua councillors to explain the reasons why the facilities 24 hour service was being discontinued.
He however said services were still provided after hours as nurses were always on call to attend to emergency cases. Nata/Gweta MP, Mr Polson Majaga had wanted to know if the minister was aware that Sua Clinic no longer operated on 24 hour basis. ENDS
