Mogonye elder commends Methodist church

One of the pioneers of Mmamotshwane Trust also an elder in Mogonye, Ms Sophia Thobega has reminded the visiting Methodist congregation to find time and reflect on the scenic beauty that typify Mmamotshwane gorge and its environs.

She said during an occasion to mark the baptism of 17-year-old Mr Otsile Bose who is living with disability. 

Ms Thobega said the breath taking beauty of the gorge which is still a mystery, remained the pride of Mogonye populace.

“The beauty and therapeutic effect of this natural phenomenon cannot be ignored” she emphasised.

Meanwhile,Ms Thobega commended Methodist leadership for taking on board people living with disability through activities such as baptism.

She said the gesture was symbolic of the commitment and the love of God playing itself out in church.

Pastor Mpho Letsholo, who conducted the baptism prior to declaring Mr Bose a member said constitution of the church dictated that not a single member should be left out of such pertinent spiritual matters.

He promised that as such Mr Bose will be afforded the monthly administration of the Holy Communion conferred upon every member with a good standing.

Ms Boitumelo Bose, the mother to Mr Oteng Bose expressed happiness at the turn of events in particular the pledge by Pastor Letsholo to visit her child monthly all expenses paid for by the church.

She buttressed the fact that the church travelled about 32 km from Gaborone to Mogonye demonstrated commitment of the church towards the less-privileged.

Ms Bose thanked in particular Pastor Letsholo, whose humility and dedication to souls was unparalleled. ENDS
