Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Phillip Makgalemele has called on poverty eradication beneficiaries to be committed to their business adventures to ensure their success.
Addressing a kgotla meeting in Lobatse on Wednesday February 18, Mr Makgalemele advised beneficiaries to work hard in ensuring that their projects thrived and became sustainable.
Mr Makgalemele said every business operation called for dedication and setting of targets, culminating in achievements of the targets.
This, he said would guarantee meeting the abject poverty eradication targeted timeline set for the end of the 2016/17 financial year.
The assistant minister called on officers responsible for the poverty eradication programme implementation to work round the clock to ensure the success of the programme.
“There is dire need for close assessment, monitoring and evaluation of these projects for us to know that we are moving in the right direction,” he said.
He said government was available to provide markets for various projects that were funded under the poverty eradication programme to ensure their survival.
Through a government initiative, Mr Makgalemele advised all to play a meaningful role geared towards the achievement of the programme. ENDS
