Cresta donates to poor

Cresta Hotel Group has donated 1 000 blankets to the Office of the President to help warm up the needy this coming winter.
Handing over the donation, Cresta Group managing director, Mr Tawanda Makaya said his company was committed to the Vision 2016 pillars to improve and have an impact on the lives of Batswana.
“Our donation is in partial a fulfilment of our corporate social responsibility which we take very seriously,” said Mr Makaya, adding that they have taken voluntary steps to improve the quality of live.
He revealed that the company has so far donated five houses throughout the country, saying they were working on identifying more destitute people to build more houses for them.
Receiving the donation on behalf of President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama, the private secretary to the President, Mr Tefo Mokaila thanked the Cresta Group for their generosity.
He said the donation was an indication of commitment and the heart willing to serve, adding that the blankets would go a long way to providing comfort to the needy during the coming winter season.
Mr Mokaila commended the company for its selflessness by always responding positively to assist the under privileged in society. He urged other corporate entities to emulate Cresta Hotel Group’s example and assist the needy. ENDS
