Instalment purchase scheme starts next financial year

The Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Prince Maele, says his ministry will start implementing the Instalment Purchase Scheme in the 2015/16 financial year.
He nevertheless rebutted that the President had pronounced that he would consider starting the Tenant Purchase Scheme in his 2009 State of the Nation address.
He stated that the Tenant Purchase Scheme was introduced in 1986 and stopped in 2004 when the Instalment Purchase Scheme was envisaged. He said the President had stated that government will provide support of a new Instalment Purchase Scheme and not Tenant Purchase Scheme.Francistown South MP, Mr wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister when he would consider starting the Tenant Purchase Scheme as pronounced by the President in his 2009 state of the Nation address.
