MPs Motlhale Mangole in Brussels

Members of Parliament for South East South, Mr Odirile Motlhale and Kgatleng West, Mr Gilbert Mangole left for Brussels, Belgium on Sunday to attend the 31st Session of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly.
According to a press release from the National Assembly, they will also attend the inter-sessional meetings of the ACP-EU Joint parliamentary Assembly which started on March 19 and ends on Friday.
Botswana is currently a member of the ACP-EU Standing Committee on Social Affairs and Environment, and the meeting will discuss Human Resources for Health in ACP countries as well as the Social and Environmental Impacts of pastoralism on ACP countries.
The release further states that the meeting is also expected to discuss South-South and Triangular Cooperation: opportunities and Challenges for ACP States; The Threats posed by military coups on democracy and political stability in ACP countries and the role of the international community; Respect for the Rule of Law and the Role of an Impartial and Independent Judiciary; The Political Situation in ACP and EU Members States; and The State of Play of Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) process (negotiation and implementation) and the way forward. The two MPs are expected back on Saturday.Ends
