Kgalagadi North to have veterinarian
12 Feb 2015
Kgalagadi North has had no official veterinarian since November last year due to shortage of veterinarians in the market.
Answering a question in Parliament, Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Mr Patrick Ralotsia said the whole of Kgalagadi District was however serviced by a veterinarian based in Tsabong supported by technical staff based across the district including in the Kgalagadi North Constituency.
He said the situation was however expected to improve with the arrival of an additional veterinarian in the district at the end of the month.
Kgalagadi North MP, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi had wanted the minister to state if he was aware that Kgalagadi North Constituency has been Veterinary Doctor for almost a year and that farmers in the area are not getting the much needed services. ENDS
