Botswana Tourism Organisation has donated a Toyota Hilux D4D to Seboba Community Trust in Kasane.

When handing over the vehicle on February 3, tourism development manager, Mr Mokganedi Ntana said the vehicle had been branded to help market Seboba Nature and Recreational Park.

Mr Ntana explained that Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) had made a decision to donate some of their revamped vehicles to tourism projects throughout the country wide.

“We hope this will help the management of the park in hosting more activities and improving quality of service in the process,” he said. He assured them of BTO’s continued support.

Chobe District Council deputy council chairman Mr Matshelane Chabaesele advised staff to take good care of the vehicle and ensure that it did not bring conflict and divisions to their trust. He emphasised the fact that the branding of vehicle was a great marketing tool.

“I have hope in this particular trust because they seem to be on the right track where many have failed and collapsed before,” he added. He said by successfully hosting events as big as the annual Botswana Travel and Tourism Expo, Seboba had proven that they were a force to reckon with.

The Seboba Trust secretary, Mr Itumeleng Sibanda thanked BTO for the gesture and encouraged staff to use the vehicle properly, adding that they had been answered after lobbying for a vehicle for a long time.

Seboba Nature and Recreational Park manager, Mr Moses Sinchembe explained that Seboba was built to diversify tourism in Chobe by incorporating elements of culture through the cultural village found within the park.

The park offers nature walks, an abundance of birdlife, as well as hosting events such as national and international expos, weddings, and corporate events. ENDS
