The problem of limited funds has forced government to postpone construction of Mmadinare Police Station and staff housing project to the National Development Plan 11.

This was revealed by the Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Shaw Kgathi when responding to a question from Mmadinare MP, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila on Tuesday.

Mr Kgathi said the slight improvement of the economy will allow completion of only a few ongoing projects in his ministry.

Such projects, he said, are those whose construction and pre-contract processes were advanced at the time of the deferment of many NDP 10 projects which was due to the economic downturn.

Mr Mzwinila had asked the minister to state when construction of the police station, which is one of the projects under NDP 10, was expected to start and end. ENDS
