Road tarring subject to funds avaliability

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo, says tarring of the road linking villages of Masunga, Mosojane and Tshesebe in the North East District will be considered when funds are available.
Answering a question in Parliament onFebruary 3, he explained that design of the road was done in 2008, but the project was then shelved due to the global economic meltdown experienced in that year.
“The construction of the road will be considered together with other deserving projects as soon as funds are available. However, my ministry continues to maintain the road by grading it as and when required,” said the minister.Gaborone North MP, Mr Haskins Nkaigwa, had asked whether there were plans to tar the road.
