Govt identifies four thematic areas

Government has identified four key thematic areas, which are critical in promoting the country’s economic priorities.
The Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Mr Kenneth Matambo, said this when delivering the 2015 budget speech on February 3.
These thematic areas, Mr Matambo said, were growing the economy, promoting inclusive growth, enhancing business environment to promote investment and foster diversification, and strengthening the judicial system and combating crime and corruption.
The minister said these thematic areas were critical in promoting growth and ensuring economic diversification; and therefore assisting in efforts to create employment and improve on the general infrastructure, health and social development and the fight against corruption and crime. ENDS
