BOSETO mine pledges P10 000

Discovery Copper Botswana, DML BOSETO Mine, has pledged P10 000 towards Help Abbie team in Maun, which is raising funds towards the medical help of 14-year-old Abian Ntshabele.

Abian has been diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer dubbed Immature Teratoma.

The DML BOSETO mine manager, Mr Dominic Kabamba who was the chief walker at the sponsored walk organised by Abbie team Maun said it was crucial for citizens and corporate societies to build partnership for worthy causes.

Mr Kabamba said at times the economic situation did not allow the government to meet the needs of the society. He therefore thanked the team for their efforts to raise funds towards Abbie as he said good health was key to a productivie society.

The Team Abbie Maun spoke person, Mr Mangaliso Dennison said the team undertook series of activities to raise funds such as at a car wash, a dinner at Riley’s Hotel, a concert at Trekkers Night Club and finally the sponsored walk.

Mr Dennison said they had raised about P9 000 with the initial activities and were yet to do a sum of the latest activities. He noted that Batswana at large heed Abbie’s plea and made it a success in Maun and other parts of the country. ENDS
