Extension Gunners and Tsa Gae also known as All Kasi, have extended their partnership until the end of the season.
Their two year partnership was supposed to end last year November, but All Kasi decided to extend the partnership until the end of May this year.
Giving a keynote address at Lekidi football centre on January 27, Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Sadique Kebonang said Gunners and All Kasi had been the biggest brands in Lobatse for years now.
Mr Kebonang, also Lobatse MP, said the two were the pride of Lobatse and had managed to keep the town together. He further thanked Gunners for giving Lobatse the spotlight and drawing investors to the town.
In addition, he said Gunners had given young players the chance to pursue their dreams. The assistant minister also highlighted the importance of All Kasi in Lobatse and also their contribution towards the development of sports in Botswana.
He said the partnership between the two should remain fruitful. He encouraged other companies to put money into sport like All Kasi. The chief executive officer of Extension Gunners Pty (Ltd), Orayyah Dada said they were delighted for partnering with All Kasi throughout the years.
Dada thanked All Kasi for extending the contract to the end of the season. For his part, chairman of the club, Kitso Dlamini announced that the two partners would launch the school of excellence.
Dlamini said they would adopt four primary schools in Lobatse namely, Ipelegeng, Peleng, Itireleng and Hillside primary schools. He said they would concentrate on the schools’ football department where they would aim for excellent results.
He said they would do that as a part of their social responsibility, and it would be a long term program because their technical department and Botswana Football Association (BFA) would be involved.
“We have been known for our stylish type of football and recently and now because of All Kasi, we have been decorated as the team with the most beautiful kit,” said Dlamini.
He commended All Kasi for delivering 96 percent of what they were supposed to give. “They delivered beyond expectation and brands like these are rare,” he said. The director of All Kasi, Ludo Kemoeng said youth development was a way to go and top priority for them. “It is an opportunity for us to give back,” he said.
He said the school of excellence would give young players the chance to enhance their talent. He cited Lobatse as the originator of quality football. ENDS
