Speakers continue to pay tribute to Merafhe

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairperson, Mr Ponatshego Kedikilwe has credited Lt Gen. Mompati Merafhe for increase of inner party democracy.
He said Lt Gen. Merafhe promoted interaction within the party, adding that the former army commander also loved leadership. Mr Kedikilwe said the death of such a hero needed to be celebrated.
A relative, Mr Barobi Kentshwang said Lt Gen. Mompati Merafhe was a hard worker and a true democrat, hence being the right person to represent Mahalapye as a member of parliament. He said Lt Gen. Merafhe toiled to ensure the development of Mahalapye.
Mr Maipelo Tshobo (Merafhe's cousin) said the former vice president was extremely intelligent and was an avid reader.
