Talk Talk joins Rollers

14 Jan 2015

Township Rollers investor, Jagdish Shah says they have signed  former Mochudi Centre Chiefs and BMC right back, Tshepo 'Talk Talk' Motlhabankwe, on an 18 months deal.

Shah said BMC had released the player, but because they were interested in his service, they found it prudent to engage and discuss with him to join Mapalastina. “We have sealed the deal, he is now our player  we have agreed on 18 months contact,” he said.

Shah said Rollers needed an experience player at the defense, because the team was prone to injuries more especially int the defence department. He however said they had long wanted the player but he could not join them last season because they failed to agree on something.

According to Shah, Rollers' intension was to go all out and win the league championship, Mascom Top 8 and compete in CAF Champions League. Motlhabankwe, although age is not on his side, is not just an ordinary player, given that on his day he could individually cause an upset to any team that comes his way.

He has played for different teams amongst them Southern Pirates, Extension Gunners, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, BMC, and he was part of the Zebras squad that participated in AFCON 2012.

While at the Kgatleng side, Motlhabankwe was kicked out of the club together with Kago Nfila and Amos ‘Shoes’ Godirwang and at that time Centre Chiefs remained mum as to why the trio were released

For his part, Township Rollers secretary general, Khumoyame Masonya said their intention was to have three new players in their camp, Jerome Ramatlhakwana, Galabgwe Moyana and welcome back Edwin Moalosi from his studies.

He said as for Moyana they failed because the National Appeals Board ruled that he was a Mochudi Centre Chiefs players. “We are currently waiting for Jerome Ramatlhakwana’s International Clearing Certificate, once it arrives, yes he will form part of Rollers squad” he said. ENDS
