Mabule clinic visits Boshoek weekly
15 Mar 2013
Parliament has been told that Mabule clinic has a schedule of weekly visits to Boshoek Mobile Stop.
Responding to a parliamentary question, Assistant Minister of Health, Mr Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri said Good hope District Management Team had allocated one ambulance to Mabule clinic and therefore a nurse would be transported to Boshoek every Sunday as from March 10.
He noted that the two ambulances allocated to Mabule frequently required servicing at Central Transport Organisation (CTO) and they were currently with CTO.
Mr Matlhabaphiri said the servicing resulted in shortage of transport thereby affecting the schedule. Good Hope District Health Management Team took over the provision of health services from Kgalagadi in October 2011 and Boshoek Mobile Stop fell within this district.
Kgalagadi North MP, Mr Phillip Khwae had asked when Good Hope District Management Team took over the provision of health services at Boshoek Mobile Stop.
MP Khwae had also wanted to know whether Mabule clinic had a schedule of visits to the Boshoek Mobile Stop, and if so, had it been followed.
He had also asked what challenges were faced in taking health services to the Boshoek community and what plans were in place to address the identified challenges. ENDS
