Tsatsilebe new BMC coach

12 Jan 2015

Lobatse-based football team, BMC has appointed Rapelang ‘Razor’ Tsatsilebe as their new head coach. Tsatsilebe is not new in the elite league as he once coached Gaborone United.

He was also BMC FC assistant coach at some point.

BMC chairman, Kelesitse Gilika told BOPA, that Tsatsilebe is what the doctor has prescribed for his team.

He said their intention is to give local coaches a chance to prove themselves in the elite league, adding that he was confident that, Tsatsilebe will continue where their former coach, Daniel Nare left.

During the first round, BMC performed well, and their hard work saw them finishing the round on position three.

Gilika however said, with their young and vibrant coach, they will continue with their good performance.

He said Tsatsilebe is an astute coach who has good coaching qualifications, therefore given chance as a head coach can benefit not only BMC, but the country as well.

Gilika said BMC is more focused on using young players; therefore Tsatsilebe will fit well given that, he was once a national team U-17 manager.

“I am confident that he will work with young players, he has done it before and as for qualifications he has a B Coaching Coach which he did in Germany,” he said.

Tsatsilebe will have to work very hard to ensure that his team finishes in a respectable position and currently the team is in a process of changing its name from BMC to Gilport Lions, under new management. ENDS
