President Khama said the gifts, although given late, were Chistmas presents.
During his welcome address, Kgosi Piet Manyoro of Khawa said the benovelence displayed by President Khama needed commendation.
He also commended the Kgalagadi District Council for having successfully completed 10 destitute persons houses in the village.
On other issues, Kgosi Manyoro decried the poor radio reception in the area, adding that it rendered the radio sets issued by the government to the elderly obsolete.
Kgosi Manyoro also complained about lions that roamed the area, saying they pose a threat to their livestock.
In response, President Khama assured Kgosi Manyoro that he would forward the grievances to relevant authorities for redress. ENDS
