The Ministry of Education and Skills Development has set up five sectoral thematic working groups that address specific issues.

Responding to a question in Parliament, Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Patrick Masimolole explained that amongst the five, was the Trade Unions Sectoral Thematic Working Group, which facilitated dialogue in the work place including addressing of grievances raised by teachers.

Mr Masimolole was responding to a question was asked by Okavango MP, Mr Bagalatia Arone.

MP Arone had asked the education minister what she had done so far to attend to the recommendation by the 2011 Masogo Commission that long outstanding grievances of teachers should be addressed with immediate effect and a committee set up to look into those grievances to avoid future similar scenarios.
