Ministers Fraternal in elections thanksgiving
15 Dec 2014
Gaborone Ministers’ Fraternal recently held a thanks-giving prayer service for the past elections at Tlotlo Hotel and Conference Centre.
When giving the sermon Pastor Strike Ben of Seventh Day Adventist thanked God for peaceful elections and urged all authorities to wait upon the Lord. Reverend Ben emphasised that everyone should wait upon the Lord to be rewarded. He also urged the nation to pray for the President.
Pastor Ben said those who believe and wait upon the Lord would excel in what they were doing and would lead an honest life.
For his part, Reverend Samuel Makgaola of Assemblies of God said the Thanks Giving prayer was for Botswana’s election and thanks to God as everything went smoothly.
He also appealed to the gathering to pray for rain.
When giving vote of thanks the speaker of the National Assembly Ms Gladys Kokorwe encouraged all churches to come together to pray for Botswana, members of parliament, president and for eternal peace for the nation. ENDS
