Envisaged Gerald Estate CBD in apipeline

The detailing and engineering design of the land reserved for the Central Business District (CBD) at Gerald Estate, Francistown, are ongoing, the Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Prince Maele has said.
Mr Maele said in Parliament that the tasks started in November and the final stage of the overall project was expected to be completed by November 2015. He, however, said the servicing of the area, which was a pre-requisite to plot allocation, would depend on availability of funds in future.
Francistown East MP, Mr Buti Billy had asked the minister when would the reserved land in the Gerald Estate for the establishment of a CBD be detailed out, serviced and plots allocated accordingly. ENDS
