Roads grading programme to be provided
14 Mar 2013
The programme for grading and maintaining gravel roads in Tonota North will be provided by March 31 after rationalisation of the approved budget.
Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Nonofo Molefhi told Parliament on Wednesday that the ministry was aware that some of the roads in the constituency needed re-gravelling.
Minister Molefhi said due to funding constraints and limited plant resources, it would not be possible to include all the roads within one financial year.
He was responding to questions from Tonota North MP, Mr Fidelis Molao who had wanted to know when the Tonota North community would be provided with a schedule for grading and maintaining of gravel roads in the constituency.
Mr Molao also wanted to know whether the minister was aware that some of the gravel roads in the constituency needed re-gravelling because they werer worn out and are unserviceable, and that if so, when would they be maintained. ENDS
