Heavy rains forecast authentic

The weather advisory that was issued to the public, including the National Disaster Management Office on November 7, 2014, was authentic, the Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Mr Tshekedi Khama, has said.
“The weather advisory as provided by the Department of Meteorological Services was authentic,” he added.Responding to a question in Parliament from Ngami MP, Mr Thato Kwerepe, Mr Khama clarified that “any other announcement that differed from the weather advisory stated above did not originate from the Department of Metrological Services.”
Mr Kwerepe had asked Mr Khama whether the announcement by the Department of Meteorological Services that there would be heavy rains in the North of Botswana was authentic. ENDS
