The Minister of Infrastructure, Science and Technology, Mr Johnnie Swartz has told Parliament that his ministry is not aware of any request for the provision of railway level crossing for residents of the area behind Moeding College.

Mr Swartz, who was answering a question on behalf of the Minister of Transport and Communications, said he was not even aware of any request by farmers in Makamatshwane lands at Mokgosi Siding.

However, he explained that all roads in the area in question were under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development as they were internal roads.

MP for South East South, Mr Odirile Motlhale had asked the Minister of Transport and Communications when the request for a railway level crossing for residents of the area behind Moeding college would be met.

He also asked him to state when a similar request by farmers in Makamatshwane lands at Mokgosi siding would be met. ENDS
