27 Nov 2014

Adore Little Children Botswana has donated clothes to residents of Ngarange in the Okavango Sub-district.

In an interview, the founder of the Non-Governmental Organisation, Ms Paula Currie from Australia said the clothes were donated by one church ministry in her home country.

She said even though it took a year for the clothes to arrive, they were happy that finally the villagers would enjoy a happy Christmas. The founder said they travelled to different conferences as well as churches and shared the vision for the project.

She noted that Ms Desley and Brian Hocking, a couple from a church called Vineyards International Network of Churches purchased a container and friends and families in the church donated clothes and other gifts.

Over 12 00 people received the gifts and more than 5 000 items were disbursed to the villagers. She also said Ngarange Primary School reported that grades are improving and this could be attributed to their efforts.

Delta Cross Ministries Pastor in Ngarange, Pastor Joseph Mbinga said that the organisation has brought people of Ngarange together.  He also said that this made parents realise the importance of education and caring for their children, adding that the gifts they have received are a blessing from God.

Most of the villagers said through the organisation, they have built strong relations and their families.  In addition, they said children are off the streets because of the pre-school and have instilled the spirit of love among them. ENDS
