BotswanaPost collaborated with Barclays Bank, Orange, Letshego, Botswana Life and Bank Gaborone to give back to the community of Chobe in Kasane recently.
They held an exposition during which faunds were raised for a chatitable cause. BotswanaPost’s Kasane branch manager, Mr Thabo Kotjezu said the initiative was aimed at helping Mr Simasiku Munikazu of Satau to install a standpipe.
He noted that each stall at the expo was worth P700 for the companies to showcase their services. Mr Kotjezu said BotswanaPost was aiming to grow with every year and wanted Kasane Expo to be bigger and better.
He said this was their second attempt at hosting such an event, saying the previous year they raised funds that went towards another individual based in Parakarungu. He explained that as companies, they had to ensure that the community was well taken care of.
“The success of any company is due to the customer that walks into its doors during working hours, and it is humane to ensure that such a relationship is not just a one way street,” said Mr Kotjezu.
Orange’s shop supervisor, Ms Wame Waniwa said they were no strangers to lending a helping hand to those in need, saying many of their valid customers came out to learn more on the company’s products and services. ENDS
