The Department of Special Support Services (DSSS) in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development will host a national youth boot camp at Ghanzi Senior Secondary School from December 1 to 19.

A press release from the ministry statedthat the boot camp would seek to prepare a holistic development among the youth with the aim to address issues of antisocial behaviour, moral decay, and instil social values, accountability and entrepreneurship skills.

The camp will also prepare them for tertiary education and 16 participants have been selected from each of the senior secondary schools making a total of 512 Form 5 leavers converging at Gantsi village from across.

Permanent Secretary in the education ministry, Mr Richard Matlhare is expected to officially open the camp on December 3. Assistant minister, Mr Moiseraele Goya will officiate during the graduation ceremony on December 19. ENDS
