Prisons restructuring on halt

The restructuring process that was undertaken within the Department of Prisons and Rehabilitation has been put on hold, says the Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Mr Shaw Kgathi.
Responding to a question from Member of Parliament for Gaborone Central Mr Phenyo Butale, Minister Kgathi said the move was taken pending the completion of the ongoing review of the department’s conditions of service by February 2015.
MP for Gaborone Central Mr Phenyo Butale had asked the minister to state the progress made on the development of a revised structure for the Department of Prisons Services. ENDS
