20 schools under-go maintenance

A total of 20 primary schools in the Okavango constituency are undergoing maintenance under the cyclic maintenance programme, which started in April and is expected to be completed in December this year.
Answering a question in Parliament, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Frans Van Westhuizen said, out of the 20 primary schools, so far maintenance had been completed in 12 primary schools and was ongoing in the remaining eight.
He said maintenance covered classrooms, kitchens, administration blocks and both pupils and teachers toilets. MP for Okavango Mr Bagalatia Arone had asked the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development to give an update of toilet maintenance in all the Okavango Constituency primary schools. ENDS
