Satmos coach optimistic despite loss

FC Satmos coach, Kgosietsile Jacob is optimistic that his team still has a chance in Mascom top 8 competition. This is despite his team suffering three-nil defeat at home to Gaborone United.
In an interview after the Saturday game in Selebi Phikwe, Jacob was adamant that his side would change the results during second leg. He said they still had a chance to change the result in the second leg because Gaborone United did not score from creativity or calculated approach but his team conceded from their errors.
“The loss is from our mistakes especially defending corners. If we defended them it would have been a different story,” he said. Also, he said it was a pity that his side did not convert their chances “some of them (chances) we had goal keeper to beat and a net to beat. “If you fail to convert you will be punished”.
Victorious coach, Raymond Gumbo said they came to the game to get comfortable results to increase their chances of proceeding with the competition. He said an early goal was an advantage to them as it destroyed their opponent’s spirits.
The first goal of the day was through Ronald Chikomo’s header hardly a minute into the game, after the hosts failed to defend a corner. After about 25 minutes Benson Shilongo received a pass in the box and did not waste time as he put the second goal behind Kagiso Tshelametsi.
In the early minutes of the second half, Powell Abednico with a header again punished Satmos for poor defending of corners. ENDS
