DBES Majwe Mining in clean safe environment bid

The Department of Building and Engineering Services in Tsabong and Majwe Mining have joined hands to create a healthy and worthy living in the village.

Speaking at the campaign held under the theme: DBES and Majwe Mining joint cleaning campaign recently, a representative from Majwe Mining, Mr Ketshepaone Morake said they were aiming to create a long lasting relationship that aimed at moving the village forward.

He said as an organiation, one of their objectives was to be involved in the development of rural areas, saying he found it fitting to be involved in this kind of campaign especially in Tsabong where there were less development.

He said recently Majwe Mining has sent a delegation to assess the situation in the village and the finding suggested that amongst other things, lack of toilets in the bus rank was identified. He explained that they took it upon themselves as a company to ensure that such kind of necessities should be provided.

He said it is not the first time their company came to help the DBES at Tsabong and on behalf of the company he looks forward to ensuring that this kind of relationship is maintained and maintained. 

He said no one should shy away from asking for help at their company when the need arise. The chairperson for wellness committee, Mr Frank Mackenzie said the main objective of the campaign is to create a healthy environment. 

He further said they have started by cleaning the workplace and repainting. He further said there are animals that are rooming the street of Tsabong so it is everyone’s responsibilities to ensure that endangered by eating rubbish and make Tsabong a safe place to live in. 

Mr Mackenzie said the bible says cleanliness is next to godliness so people should stay in clean surroundings to ensure that God is close to them. ENDS
