10 Mar 2013
The problem of water shortage that had bedevilled Good Hope Senior Secondary School for years is now under control, according to the director of primary and secondary education in the southern region, Mr Motsamai Phuthego.
Speaking in a recent interview, Mr Phuthego said shortage of water in the area had been a problem from the time the school started operating in 2008.
He said there were times when the school would not have water for weeks . However, the official said, the situation had since improved, thanks to Water Utilities Corporation's (WUC) intervention.
Mr Phuthego said the corporation had decided to water-bowse the school which had a population of 2 200.
The director said they had a meeting with WUC officials last week Wednesday to brainstorm on possible options towards a permanent solution. ENDS
