Chouka Chouka Moyagoleele share spoils

20 Oct 2014

The weekend encounter between Motlakase Power Dynamos and Gaborone United ended in a one-all draw.

The Palapye outfit came from the back in first half to level matters through Gape Mohutsiwa after Gaborone United had broken the deadlock through Kaelo Kgaswane.

Mohutsiwa snatched a rebound and smashed the back of the net after teammate Emmanuel George was denied twice from the spot kick by GU’s Goitseone Phoko.  Motlakase was awarded a penalty after GU centre-half Gaopatwe Seosenyeng was fouled for impeding Pelaelo Hlabano inside the box.

Earlier on Kgaswane benefited from Motlakase’s lapse on concentration inside the box and tapped home after Kagiso Rankabekwa parried the ball on his way.  Kgaswane played in an unfamiliar role in the midfield in the notable absence of Jackie Mothatego and was later on replaced by Ntesang Simanyana.

However, GU celebrations did not last long before Motlakase scored through the penalty ending the first half with a one goal tie.

In the second half the two sides failed to produce some scintillating performance to run away with the maximum points. But, credit should go to Motlakase shot stopper Rankabekwa who pulled fine saves enabling the home side to put one in the cart. ENDS
