Takatokwane police are investigating a road accident that took the life of a 26-year-old man of Tshwaane in Letlhakeng Sub-district, leaving two others in a critical stage.

According to Takatokwane police station commander, Supt Ocean Maraganyane, the accident occurred between Dutlwe and Tshwaane after a tyre burst that resulted in the vehicle overturning. He said the occupants were travelling to Motokwe.

Supt. Maraganyane said the accident occurred on October 2 around 10 O’clock in the morning. Other two passengers were treated for minor injuries at Takatokwane clinic and discharged the same day.

He said although police investigations were continuing, they suspect that other occupants did not wear their safety belts at the time of the accident. He said the body of the deceasedwas taken to Scottish Livingstone Hospital for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Supt. Maraganyane said the Independence Day celebrations were celebrated smoothly without any incident in his policing area. Ends
