The Department of Gender Affairs in Kanye has funded a total of 12 projects to the tune of P2 million under Kanye Administration Authority.

Senior gender officer, Ms Tebogo Motlogelwa said out of the 12, seven projects are operating; three have collapsed while two are at implementation stage. 

She said the seven projects which are operational are Soon and Soon Investment poultry, Batsogapele Leatherworks, Gamokgomana Toilet Paper and Diapers, Onae Farmers Group Smallstock, Mmamokhasi Vegetable production, Gamodenaka Brick Moulding and Bana Ba Motho Threatre Artists.

Others include, Gotlhajwang (Pty) Ltd poultry, Tease Brick Moulding and Kanatla Forestry vegetable production have collapsed while Morakana Matheaphiri Smallstock and Bammogo Investment Smallstock undergoing implementation.

A total of 47 women and eight men make up the 12 groups some of which began as far as 2010. ENDS
