Tladi face Ditlhase in cricket final82328232

Gaborone-based teams, Tladi and Ditlhase will battle for supremacy in the Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) 50 overs regional tournament, southern region final on September 14.



The final, which will be held at the BCA Oval 1, will kick-off at 9am.

 The two teams made it to the final after finishing in the top two positions of the log in the month-long tournament, which commenced on August 10.



Tladi finished top of the standings with four points after winning two from three round-robin matches.
 
Ditlhase came second with the same number of points, but an inferior run rate after they also won two of three matches.



Four teams competed in the southern region in this year’s 50 Overs tournament, which is meant to provide local cricketres with a platform for competition.



The other two teams, Shining Stars and Southern Rocks were eliminated from the competition at the round-robin stage after managing single victories each.

 Meanwhile, the northern region held its final last weekend and Phikwe Cricket Club was crowned champions. 



They defeated Francistown Sports and Recreation Club by five wickets to claim the title.

 FSRC batted first and made 176 runs all out in 42 overs, while Phikwe Cricket Club made 177 runs for five in 38 Overs. ends
