Tsela driver training spices Consumer Show

Tsela advanced 4x4 drivers training is expected to add spark to this this year’s consumer show.
The drivers training together with off road accessories event takes place at Fairgrounds on Friday, August 29. The event, brought by Spin City Motor Events management, Fairground holdings, Robot Auto, AG Pump and South African partners 4x4 Megaworld Dealers, will be showcasing off-road vehicles that include 4x4 trucks, Jeeps and SUVS.
There will be a display of off-road accessories and demo of off-road track by qualified instructors. Motor cross action and quad bike trails will also be part of the lined up events.
The services offered will be off-road driver training, quad bike trail, off-road test drives, off-road dealer launches and motorbike training. The events will go down at the off-road adventure park in fairgrounds (old BDF base).
The course, which is made up of mud, rocks, woodland and sand has been designed for the purpose of training and practice. It has thus been developed into an exciting, professional and permanent 4X4 driving, testing and training facility.
Speaking during a press brief at Fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 26, Spin City event organizer, Joseph Khengere said they were proud to be part of the milestone towards the development of motorsport in the country.
“People shouldn’t miss this show and it is very ideal for everyone to come and understand the 4x4 so that they could drive safely and responsibly in an off-road environment” he said. Khengere said the training course will be important to those with little or no 4x4 driving experience.
He said it was suitable for everyone who has to drive off-road occasionally to access remote locations. The media had the chance to experience this when they were taken through part of the course.
The course is a made up of regularly encountered terrain, as well as more challenging trails such as deep muddy channels and potholes. The off-road course provides all the relevant challenges such as mounting and descent control.
The event will go on for the next four years and Khengere said they hoped to make it eternal because Fairgrounds has become the home of motor events. Qualified instructors will be there to help people understand off-road driving. The training instructors will provide basic information, guidance and tuition for those unfamiliar with off-road driving.
The event will start at 0900 AM on Friday August 29 and will go on until Sunday August 31. ENDS
