Volleyball league games continues
21 Aug 2014
Lobatse will host the men’s Mascom Volleyball League games when the second round begins this weekend.
Prisons VI will entertain visiting Serowe side, Tanian at 10am in a game that is likely to be an easy ride for the warders. Perched at the bottom of the log, Tanian’s ship is on a slump.
In their last game, the Serowe side played six men in flight and to cap it all without their coach, Gaonyadiwe Mothofela. In previous interviews, Mothofela had indicated that work commitments prevented him from fully discharging his coaching roles.
Not only that, the Tanian coach had also expressed his frustrations at the big teams for snatching his promising players who jump ship for greener pastures.
Sitting on the eighth position, Prisons VI would seek to disintegrate an already struggling Tanian to better their log standing as the season hits up. From the 11 games played so far, the Serowe lads managed to accumulate 11 points while the warders managed to accumulate 19 from the same number of games.
Subsequent to the Prisons vs Tanian game, the Lobatse community will witness another battle of the mid table against the bottom placed side when the gold and black clad Mafolofolo date the youthful Desert Kings.
Thabo Ntshinogang led Mafolofolo will go into the game as favourites, but the Molepolole side may stage some resistance and stubbornness since they are led by former Mafolofolo coach.
Having spent time at Mafolofolo both as a player and a coach, he may want to dowse his former side’s ambitions of bagging the Mascom silverware at the end of the season. ENDS
