Sankoyo Bush Bucks ready

07 Aug 2014

Premier League rookies, Sankoyo Bush Bucks will play their first top flight game against Motlakase from Palapye on the evening of Friday August 8, at the Maun Sports Complex.

The team’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Thato Molosi told BOPA in an interview that his side is well prepared not only to stay in the league but to challenge for honours. He said they did not change the squad that got promoted to the top league, but have added some new experienced legs into the team as they are now in a different set up.

Molosi stated that the idea was to bring the premier league experienced players into all departments in order to guide their play. He said they have also introduced a new Zimbabwean and former FC Platinum assistant coach, Philani Mabena to head the team, as their coach Gadimang Tiiso, who helped the team to be promoted does not have the required coaching certificate.

Molosi said they are in the process of taking Tiiso to a coaching academy for him to acquire his certificate and that they have so far appointed him as the assistant coach. Tiiso said they are going to launch a speedy attacking play and will show Motlakase no respect as they have the home ground advantage and thousands of supporters are expected to converge at the Maun stadium.

He said they have introduced players like Basimanebotlhe Moilwa, a goalkeeper from Nico United, Mmoloki Kafoko an attacking midfielder from Orapa United, a striker, Moreblessing Nyokanhete from Zimbabwean side Bulawayo Chiefs and Khumo Mabilo amongst others. The team chairman, Mr Mokolobetsi Pelekekae also dismissed allegations that the team has separated, saying it was just a misunderstanding between the players, which has now been resolved.

He also added that all the players are in good health and in training for their first encounter with Motlakase. ENDS
