Further consulations delay transfers
05 Aug 2014
The transfer request by Bamalete Lutheran Hospital to convert industrial class workers to permanent and pensionable was deferred by cabinet for further consultations.
This was said the Minister of Health, Dr John Seakgosing, when responding to a question in Parliament from South East South MP, Mr Odirile Motlhale.
Dr Seakgosing said the hospital was subsequently contacted and requested to submit the names of all those who wish to opt to join government and the cost that would be incurred by government to effect the transfers.
“I do note that the process has taken some time and wish to assure this House that this is being given the necessary attention and will be re-submitted back to cabinet for consideration before the end of this Financial Year (2014/15),” he added.
Mr Motlhale had asked Dr Seakgosing to state reasons for the delay of the transfer of Bamalete Lutheran Hospital Industrial Class workers to permanent and pensionable workers and state when that process would be completed. Ends
