Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake says he is not aware of the historical notation in a historical records book entitled Khama Disputes.

Answering a question in Parliament from MP for Francistown West, Dr Habaudi Hobona, who had asked the minister if he was aware of such a historical book, the minister said he was not in an informed position to respond to the question accordingly.

Dr Hobona also asked the minister if he is aware of a case in the said book between a certain Hubona Mpalake who won a case against flogging and distinction of property by Khama and was compensated with a strip of land, and if so, what happened to that strip of land, what type of land tenure is the strip of land under, state land or freehold and if none of the above, when did it convert and signed for the conversion.

Minister Mokalake said the MP for Francistown West is free to furnish his office with all relevant information in relation to the issue in question so as to make an informed response. BOPA
